Manufactured Landscapes

I started watching Manufactured Landscapes, a documentary that shows how the environment is getting terribly polluted by all the muck from factories, but stopped. It didn't grab me and it failed to make its point. For me, it was preaching to the choir as I'm all for clean manufacturing. Also the weirdly colored rivers and land were so bizarre that they were rather beautiful, though strange. I think to effectively get people to sit up and take action, a film needs to show how the pollution is hurting people, people the viewers know and love. HBO's Gasland is a documentary that I'm told does just that.
